With Brutalist design features, the Erno frame was born in West London in the shadow of Trellick Tower. This is the sharpest frame we’ve ever created thanks to its squared oval shape frame front and paddle arms that were worn by some of the early 20th century’s greatest minds.

Entirely handmade in England in a limited-run production starting with a single sheet of Mazzucchelli acetate
Thick and above-average 8mm front balanced with 4mm temples
Frame front bevelled, sanded, filed, polished and buffed by hand
Clean front with two round pins on each temple
Heat-bumped regular bridge using 70-year-old machine
With a custom vice, the temples are bent by hand with muscle-memory
Subjected to two 16-hour sessions of woodchip barrel tumbling and polishing
Premium German-made hardware, including pins, hinges and charniers
100% UVA & UVB protection lenses from Divel Italia cut specifically to size using state-of-the-art machinery in England

Based on a vintage find of an early 60’s Poalroid Cool Ray in an opticians on Goldhawk Road under the shadow of the Trellick Tower. Named after its architect Erno Goldfinger; and styled to feel very Dr. No with a distinctive “paddle” arm.
