Kirk Originals are pleased to announce the launch of our brand new “Made in England” collection.

Although the Kirk Story dates back almost a 100 years to 1919 it was in the early 1990’s that a trunk full of vintage frames from the 1950’s and 1960’s was found in the Kirk archive inspiring and leading to the launch of the first Kirk Originals collection in 1992.

25 years later we have returned to the same workshop and the same craftsmen who made that very first collection, taking Kirk Originals back to the start. The Kirk Originals ethos then and now was to create the best modern frames inspired by classic frame shapes from the fifties and sixties and re-interpret them for today, using the best materials and made by the best frame makers in England.

Each individual pair of Kirk Originals Made in England Sunglasses takes 72 hours of work to create and is made to a bespoke process. We use the highest grade natural Italian acetate to create a strong silhouette with a lighter grade used for the arms to keep them comfortable and easy to wear.

Tactile and engaging we like to think they are the eyewear equivalent of a Savile Row Bespoke suit or a handmade pair of classic British shoes from Northampton.

We hope you enjoy them – Kirk Originals.
